Cents per point (cpp) is the standard way to measure how much value you got from a points or miles redemption. Enter what you redeemed and what it would have cost in cash — the higher the cpp, the better the redemption.
Formula: (Total Cash Cost − Taxes/Fees − Opportunity Cost) ÷ Points × 100. A redemption above 1.5cpp is generally solid; above 2cpp is excellent for most transferable-point currencies.
