Before you transfer: confirm the seat exists
Transfers are one-way and final. A 40% bonus into an airline program with no flight award space on your dates is worth nothing, and you cannot move the points back. Seats.aero searches flight availability across every major program — check it before you transfer, not after. (Hotel transfers are a different question; those award nights are almost always available.)
